Standing just six inches (15.2.cm) tall and
measuring eight inches (20.3 cm)from
nose to tail, Tilly the Chorkie could be
the smallest dog in Britain.

A cross between a Yorkshire Terrier and
a Chihuahua, she was born on January 15.
She was three inches (7.3 cm) long and
weighed less than four ounces (113 gm).

Now fully grown, her owner Karen McPhearson
from East Kilbride has been told
her growing days are over.

"We took her to the vets last week and
we were told that she will not
grow any more," Karen says.

Despite her tiny frame Tilly is not
the world's smallest pooch.

The record, recognised by the Guinness Book
of Records, belongs to Chihuahua Heaven
Sent Brandy
, a four-year-old Chihuahua
from Florida who is six inches long.
