TALL TAILS

People are always claiming their dogs are
record breakers, latest being Caryn
Weber from North Dakota.

She thinks (video) her 3-year-old Landseer
Newfoundland Boomer is the world’s tallest
canine. At 3 feet (0.91 cm) tall at the
shoulders and 7 feet (2.1 m) long from
nose to wagging tail, he might
be a contender.

Weber plans to send Boomer’s measurements to
Guinness World Records. The previous record
holder was a Great Dane which measured nearly
4 feet (1.21 m) tall but he died last summer.

We never checked how tall our Wolfhound Archie
was or thought he might be a record breaker but
he certainly had no problems getting his
head on the worktops, cooker or sink!
